Gay Marriage - A different gay voice

I remember way back in the 70's. We took the back alleys to the bars, dressed incognito, used certain signals to tell one another apart.... We laughed about how much sex we could get, and how lucky we were be without the trappings of marriage.

Today nothing's changed. Gay men are still as promiscuous as ever and, as a whole, we want nothing to do with monogamy or commitment. What I don't understand is WHY the gay front-MEN activists working so hard on so-called "marriage equality" are in no way into monogamous marriage?
These love the spotlight, and many of them are simply vicious attack dogs that give all gays a bad name.

So why is marriage the biggest deal of the day with gays? It is not! It never was! Most of us are quiet, and our biggest concerns are AMerican ones: Getting to work everyday, Jobloss, Job creation, paying our mortages, our financial future. I guess my biggest gay issues are Elder care (gays suffer more abuse than single straights) and youth suicide.

Instead of marriage, I'd settle for much stronger domestic partnership legislation that are recognized in every state.

P.S.: We all are not ultra-liberal. Many of us are very conservative (which the Republicans are not).

Gay radial politicos make being gay a living hell. Due in full to these vicious b**tards, the gay stereotype has turned us all into single-minded, radial ultra-liberals, which the rest of us have to live down.

At work, management kept me at arm's length and I fially got fed up. So what did I do? I called a meeting and told a group of them, straight out, that:
"I come to work to do my job, not as a gay activist. I want no part of activism!".

"While at work, I'm more worried about my work ethics and staying out of trouble rather than looking for areas you, my employer, have treated me unfairly".

"I am your employee, and all I request is fair treatment and a fair day's pay."

Since then my employer eased up a lot and I now feel more at home after having to break ranks with the radicals who've hijacked the gay commuity.

Being gay (today) has created a diffeent kind of oppressiveness, this tie from gays You see, there is absolutely no tolerance for either a more conservative point of view; the actual word "conservative"; or even peaceful dissent on the issues.

Imagine, I (a gay man) have to worry that my own community would send gay attack dogs to my job to have me fired and shut me down if I ever put my name next any of the thin I just said.

Its time for the silent gays, whose numbers might rival the radical, to fight back with votes. We must break ranks in quiet until we can have the power shield to put our views out in the open. Think like an American for a change. If the country goes, guaranteed, gay marriage won't mean whole lot.

Well I did put my name to a few of these views in a public forum, and the radical gay politicos did exactly that. One of my close friends of 3 decade decided to put politics before friendship, and broke rankds with me behind my back He began spreading falsehoods about my character, and fabricated storylines to rally the troops. He/they then called my job in mass to have me fired. Thank God I have some friends in management who worked in my best interests.

I have never actively fought for or against any political issues. And I most certainly do not hate gays I do, however, despise any kind of radicals who tries to get his/her way at any cost!

I am gay! It's my right to carry my sexuality any way I see fit, so long as I am not huring anyone. I am angry! I am not an ultra-lib, and I want my voice heard without a fight. That's all I want.
