I would really appreciate anyone who would give me some honest advice. Iím a 33 year old white single male. I happen to be very career oriented, an atheist, and tend to lean toward a liberal point of view. I have lived in the Southeast US,ďTennessee, and AlabamaĒ most of my life and I have never fit in here. I hate the southern, redneck mentality of ignorance and intolerance that is not only encouraged here, but rewarded. I am sick of the phony right wing (hypo)christians who dictate everything here. I work in the Aerospace and Defense Industry and I am looking to move to Seattle or somewhere close. I believe in being good to and helping others, not only when others are looking, but always. I am very respectful to others and wish people I lived around were the same, at least for the most part. Iíd like to know if that is the consensus of residents of Seattle and surrounding areas. Everyone Iíve met from Seattle and Oregon have been the most wonderful people. I know the cost of living is a bit high as compared to the south, but it would be worth the change in atmosphere to me. Iíve also read that Seattle is one of the cleanest cities in the US. The garbage constantly being thrown from car windows here bewilders me. Please give me advice on your area and the people there. Thanks in advance!
