In the Northern lands, there is an industrious and small furry animal called a lemming. First and foremost to their behaviour is a sense of 'group consensus', very few of the individual creatures daring to act outside of this. Of course, sometimes this 'groupthink' can create problems, as when the creatures occasionally run, en masse, into the sea, drowning in its icy waters.

Fortunately for the species, some mysteriously find the strength to resist such a blind rush to their end. Also fortunately, when a similar move towards disaster occurs among those in human society, there sometimes arises the necessary leadership to stop the collective madness, to lead the society towards another path.
