Hi..

I have recently graduated with two bachelor titels (Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Social Science) but unfortunately I couldnt find any jobs in stockholm. I have sent more than 100 application letters without any results.

I have moved to stockholm (Nacka) but until now I do not have any success. I am bi-lingual (Dutch and Indonesian), able to speak and write bachelor level business english and started with my swedish.

Can somebody help me?

As an industry-certified IT professional with an international experience(Asia, Canada, & Europe)I feel job-seekers without a good mastery of the national language of the country of residence should polish up their technical or IT skills.

I have stumbled across this forum whilst researching for my move to Stockholm.

With a post-graduate German degree in Business Management, a Bachelor degree in Business Information Systems, and (J2EE) Software Development experience the chance of working as a Java Developer in Stockholm looks good.

I noticed already contributions from 2 job-seekers!
Time is of the essence. In my words: learn the right thing at the right time!

I have also a few IT certifications e.g. Project Management and Managing Successful Programmes(OGC UK). Based on the adage mentioned a few lines back they are of not much value.

The market is in need of IT specialists especially programmers.

Anyone planning to change please contact me. I will be conducting classes in Java soon.

Best Wishes!

Marcus,
Are you also like Andrian i.e. moved to Nacka after completion of your education in another country?

Hi Teodor Tan

Glad you're interested in Sweden. I been to Sweden in 1977 and found the country very nice, the people very friendly.

I don't think Marcus will get back to you as he posted over a year ago and has most likely quit checking for replies. The Swedes don't seem to know about Topix.com much as there is much more posts on Ulysses, Kansas U.S.A. a town of only about 6500 people than on the Stockholm site with Stockholm having over 1,000,000 people.

Two good site to go to is Sweden.se, a site for all interested in Sweden and SVT.SE (Television in Sweden) which can indirectly help someone learn Swedish by seeing and hearing the words.

Jag tala lite Svenska inte sa ("o" over the "a") bra.
