It is probable that for many generations the Huns had established pastures near the Caspian and Aral Lakes. It may be considered almost certain that their westward movement into Europe was occasioned by political events in northern and central Asia which set in motion new movements among the nomad peoples. now we know of a great political revolution in Asia in the fourth century which is the probable explanation of the movements of the Huns. Our knowledge, such as it is, of the early history of central records we know that in the third and early fourth centuries the dominant people in these regions was the Sien-pi, and that towards the middle of the fourth century their power was overthrown by the Zhu-zhu, who succeeded them to the dominion of Tartar Asia, and finally founded a great empire extending from the coast of the North Pacific, from Corea to the borders of Europe. It may be supposed that it was events connected with the rise to power of the Zhu-zhu that disturbed the Huns and induced them to move westward.
Look at the russian moron copy pasting lies told by J. B. Bury.

You do know that the book you quoted called History of the Later Roman Empire was first published in 1923 and written by J. B. Bury?

I bet your daddy had a big picture of Friedrich Engels in his home. Nazi world-view? Ah so that is why germans and russians murdered millions of people world wide?
At least Germany and Russia both coward nations. Thank God USA is the only superpower. Even America did not murder as many as Germany and Russia did.
All of those people who died in Cambodia because of german communism. Pol Pot admired GERMAN Friedrich Engels and Russia armed Pol Pot.
Its not a secret communism was born in Germany. You've lost your bet about any communist picture in my home. There are (and were) only christian icons in my parents' home.
There are still many oldmen in Russia who were brought up and educated with Soviet ideas of communism and stalinism. Should we send them a new kind of GULAG?
It's a damn nazi slogan like this "sub-human peasant" I called you an ugly nazi. And there's no any exсuse for nazism. Hitler also bloodely hated communism but it doesn't make him a freedom fighter. You are a just one more nazi seeking reasons and exсuses for your nazi russophobia.

Gulag was bad? So why was Stalin voted as the third greatest russian and why you russians will not bury Vladimir Lenin? You people are evil.
You russians murdered your own Tsar on the orders of Vladimir Lenin, Yakov Sverdlov and Yakov Yurovsky. Even a children like Alexei Nikolaevich.
Jews gave to orders and russians were the executioners of the Romanov family. But did you rats spare the jews? Noup. On the orders of Stalin russians murdered their former jewish masters like Genrikh Yagoda, Lev Kamenev and Grigory Zinoviev.
I can agree that it was a spaniard Ramon Mercader who brutally murdered Leon Trotsky but the order came from Kremlin, from Moscow.
Then go blame every nation elsewhere committed a revolution, there are plenty of "civilized" states like France, the UK and others who's monarch's were murdered. You just vote for a statement that the USSR was not a russian nationality oriented country but a multiethnical communist state, we try to explain your dumb countryman.

No need digging! Suffice it to say that Vyatichi who inhabited the area of contemporary Moscow and hence, forefathers of muscovites, were described by neighouring peoples, including varyags, as "ugly-looking, aggressive, ill-tempered and swearing more often then necessary". Be proud of your origins, dirty ruski arse whose arse knew no toilet paper until recently, when toilet paper for the dirty ruski arse was supplied from the West.
Not going to describe your ancestors - hunns, but want to say the following - I put your quote into google search and the only source about vyatichi with such charackteristic was THIS POST OF YOURS, which gives reason to believe that you is the author of those words - are you a crook?...By the way - all humans once didn't know toilet paper, including your ancestors...as for "ugly" - have no idea how did they look those years, but everybody knows that Russian girls are among the most beautiful in the world now...and look at your hungarian stock ...I even will not give charachteristic here, because everybody understand what I mean...Also very interesting are the posts here about the nature of your temper while you comited those atrocities and war crimes in Voevodina...I also heard that you massacred romanians in Transilvania - that is why Romanian troops which came to Budapesht in 1945 togeather with Russians were especially known for raping your women in revenge...Also you was the only communist state which became communist without no any Rusian influence in 1918-1919 with Bela Kun as the head - it was only Germans who prevented your comunists to stay in power longer then several months - in Russia jews were the core of bolsheviks, but in Hungary, you, dirty hungarian commies and murderers made communist uprising yourself and got the power for several months - so what happened after ww2 was exactly according to your ckarackter - don't play viktim that communism was imposed on you - in 1919 you proved that you are more bloody commies theen any other communist state because it was not jewish bolshevik uprising like in Russia, but YOUR OWN HUNGARIAN - that is where your genes revealed - all other times in history you were under foreign control (as well as now in EU), but the moment you fell there is no leash - you start to commit crimes or make communist uprising, loosers...(don,t forget to clean your arce with toilet paper - you are fixed on your shit)

In March 1919, a clique of Communists, in collusion with Social Democrats, took control of the Hungarian government, after president Mihály Károlyi stepped aside. Soon after, the communists, led by Béla Kun, staged a coup and seized absolute power, proclaiming the establishment of the Hungarian Soviet Republic.

Committed ideologues within the party, such as Georg Lukács[1] and Tibor Szamuely,[2] argued for the necessity of "revolutionary terror." With their support, József Cserny organized a detachment of some 200 agents known as "Lenin Boys" (Lenin-fiúk), who sought out and crushed "counter-revolutionary " activities in the Hungarian countryside. Similar groups operated within Budapest.

Within two months of taking power, the Communist leadership tried to restore Hungary to its pre-World War I boundaries, first by recapture parts of present-day Slovakia, and when that invasion dissolved, turning their troops against the offensive Romanian army to recapture Transylvania. These unsuccessful recapture adventures, as well as a string of failed domestic reforms, dampened popular support for the Communists, and on June 24 the Social Democrats attempted to regain control of the government. This attempted coup failed, and in its wake the Communist leadership carried out a string of terror reprisals to quash opposition and eliminate the strongest opponents to their regime. "Requisition patrols" looted homes. The paramilitary groups arrested putative or real enemies. Numerous atrocities, executions and crimes have been recorded.[3][4]

The tribunals carried out 590 executions, some of which for "crimes against the revolution"[5], but the numbers includes also common criminals and regular offenders[6]; other sources have placed the number of dead between 370 and 587.[7

The House of Terror Museum is located in the building which served as the successive secret police headquarters of both Hungary's fascist and communist governments.

The Nazi-affiliated Arrow Cross party took over Hungary in the last months of World War II. During the regime's short rule from October 1944 to January 1945, 80,000 Jews were deported to the Nazi death camps, while an estimated 20,000 Jews were killed outright – hundreds of them in the basement of the building which now houses the museum.

When the communists came to power after the Soviets liberated Budapest in 1945, their secret police (known by the abbreviation AVH), moved into the former fascist police headquarters. There, police interrogated, tortured and executed those considered an enemy of the state.

Bildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: The exterior features photos depicting victims of the Hungarian State Security Authority
Now, visitors can walk through the former interrogation rooms and prison cells, and watch videos of interviews with former detainees as well as old propaganda films – all of which illustrate the horror of living in Hungary in these two periods.

And here smth. else about the nature of hungarians - Soviets may give general orders from Moscow, but look how local Hungarians implemented everything on each other:

"Perhaps the most chilling part of the museum, which first opened in 2002, is a series of concrete rooms in the building's basement, where prisoners were interrogated and tortured. Instead of glass, the windows are lined with bars, and bleak wooden benches with a few blankets strewn over them show where prisoners would have slept – when they had a chance to, that is.

"They were beaten, some of them beaten to death, some of them just beaten very heavily, some of them were brought into cells which were filled of water, some of them just could not sleep for days," said Schmidt.

Memorial to suffering

Bildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: Wall of photos of Hungarian political prisoners
Featuring a giant wall covered with portraits of former detainees, the museum also serves as a memorial to those who suffered within the building. One such detainee is Laszlo Regeczy Nagy, who was arrested by the AVH for aiding the political insurgency against Soviet-rule during the 1956 Hungarian revolution.

"I spent seven months in solitary confinement and for those long months you would never see anyone other than your guard and your interrogating officer," he said. "Sealing (the prisoners) off from everyday life ... was an effective method of losing contact with reality."

During this period, Nagy was constantly subjected to sleep deprivation, being woken up "many times" during the night.

"We were never allowed to sleep properly," Nagy said. "So many things happened during the daytime that we needed a sleep, but we could never have one; and during the day, they always pestered us."

Bildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: Hangman’s noose on display
The basement also houses the rooms where interrogation and torture took place – there's a padded cell; a tiny room with basic wash facilities; a small confined area about half a square metre in size for locking up those in solitary confinement; a water torture chamber; a room for giving electric shocks and an execution chamber where a noose hangs ominously from the ceiling.

The aim of the secret police interrogators was often to torture the detainees into confessing real and imagined crimes. Once they had confessed, the prisoners were then disposable.

"Everybody knew that it was very easy to come (to the AVH headquarters) alive, but much more difficult to leave it alive," Nagy said.

"If you were sentenced to death, then you were simply transferred to a prison and hanged there next day."

Racism and the far-right in Hungary

Unfortunately, for most Hungarians such issues don't seem very important... Not only this, the Hungarian police themselves have to confront the problem of racism in their midst. In 2006 a scandal broke out when it was revealed the existence of an internal racist police blog. The police tried to sidestep the issue by noting that the Hungarian police were not racist since the blog wasn't public. Furthermore, they referred to the material on the blog simply as anti-Roma and not racist...

Racism in Hungary permeates all levels of society and is in many ways institutionalized, as in the case of the police. Not only this, the upsurge in violence against the Roma is not only limited to the half dozen or so murders over the past few months. Some are afraid that even if the real serial killers have been caught, then it someone else might soon take their place.

Meanwhile, the Roma community has its own set of problems. One of these is trying to confront the growing militancy within its own ranks. The Roma don't trust the Hungarian police for obvious reasons. As a result, some have felt that it's better to take matters into their own hands.

This, in turn, has reinforced the cause of the far-right in Hungary as exemplified by the growing popularity of the Hungarian Guard. Although the Hungarian Guard was disbanded by a court order earlier this year, it's still quite active. During this past weekend, for instance, 620 new members joined the organization at a rally near the northern Hungarian town of Esztergom. The organization now refers to itself as the New Hungarian Guard Movement as opposed to the Hungarian Guard Union. Although the name may be a little different, its look and symbols are more or less still the same.

All this is symptomatic of a country falling apart – economically, morally, politically, and socially. The serial killings over the past few months seemed to highlight a situation that was slowly but surely slipping out of control. With the arrests of the suspected perpetrators late last week, the only hope is that the extreme elements to this chaos can somehow be kept in check.

Just look at the 'nomenklatura' and you will find plenty of Georgian, Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish, Armenian names.
The first politburo had only Lenin classed as Russian, I believe, and he was part German, part Kalmyk!!
For years, Stalin ruled with his Georgian clique; later Krutchev did the same with Ukrainians in his entourage. Even Gorbachev last government had non-Russian in ministries: Shevarnadze as Foreign Minister being Georgian for example.
The collapse of the Soviet Union showed that many of its top positions were held by non-Russians. The Chechen rebel leaders were generals in the Soviet Army.
That shows just one thing - that forceful russification beared fruits among those being russified. And the soviet people were to become just another matrjoska for the derzhavist russians.

Putin is just another in that long list - do we consider him 100% russian by his ancestors? Certainly not.
Derzhavist russian by mindset? Most definitely.

Your propaganda of class superiority is complete bullshit. Can you prove how were the genes of nobility different from the genes of peansants? In the Baltic states the whole nobility was of non-Baltic origin, mostly Germans, so what conclusion should we make according to your phoney theory?
Actually, that is not entirely correct.
Quite a large part of the nobility in Estonia were descendants of local nobility - about 1/3 in northern Estonia, more so in Saaremaa, perhaps less so in southern Estonia. Most of them became germanicized to some degree.

Estonia has still a lot of oil shale. You better hope that we don't mine and burn it all - primary winds in Estonia are north-westerly - straight to Moscow. On the other hand, you being in Moscow might not even notice such tiny spec of emissions from Estonia, since it dwarfs among your local pollution.

I've just gave you several references concerning him about it, should I give you 15 or 50 media notes?
Just few years ago in Moscow an Estonian reporter asked Putin if Russia would acknowledge the occupation and annexation of Estonia in 1940. Putin answered that Estonia voluntarily joined the USSR.

Russia (as part of the Soviet Union ) wasn't! The Soviet Union, if you remember, was on the same side as the Western Allies, and ended the war.
What do Russians have to apologise for now?
For defeating the NAZIs?
For winning the war?
For liberating Eastern Europe?
For being allied to the US and Britain?
What then?
For starting the war together with Hitler.
For occupying Eastern Europe.
For not dismantling NKVD/KGB/FSB.
