Key to Life: Minding Your Own Business Afro Glitz Magazine

Full story: afroglitzmag.com

In a day and age when gossip is the main outlet in which people get news, tabloids have more sales than the latest Stephen King novel, and people know more about John Kerry's affair than his election campaign, one thing is for sure; people have turned nosiness into an art. What happened to respecting others privacy?

I know lots of people that need to read this article and take heed. I'm glad to say I don't surround myself with people who do a lot of gossiping although I have plenty in my family, which is why I don't let them know too much either.

What I've found and this includes family that the same people you gossip with talk about you behind your back when you are not there. Typically what I do when someone starts gossiping I try to change the subject and if that does not work I politely excuse myself from the conversation. This has kept my life drama free and I must say it's refreshing.

Gossiping breeds negativity and we have too much of that in the air already!

Honey, if they talked about Jesus, surely people are going to talk about you. Family or not you still gotta love them but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to love what they do, now does it!
Nobody is perfect and some people are nosy and don't even realise that they are being nosy.

Take topix for instance!

Girl, you are too funny! Ain't it the truth, though! Personally, if you're asking poeple to make you a leader/elected official/public servant then you are laying it out there (every pun intended)for all to see. Back in the day when Queen Oprah pretty much told our rock star prez that she was gonna back him, she said repeatedly, "...If you continue to love your wife..." implying she didn't wanna lend her support to someone and have some Monica type scandal blow it (every pun intended) all up in her face. If you're gonna run, then the fun is done.
