unknown species discovered

Cryptozoology is the study of unknown species and folk tale monsters such as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.
While this field receives little notoriety or credibility, recent discoveries of giant manta-rays, squads, bats, and tigers otherwise undefined or uncategorized have provided esteem.
For example, paleontologists believe descendants of dinosaurs from the Jurassic era that survived extinction from the giant asteroid that impacted Earth may be manifested in various cryptic creatures today such as the Loch Ness Monster, giant black sharks, and humanoid reptiles.
Does this account for the discovery of the mysterious giant bat-like fish discovered in the Far East and the social appeal of avatar-rich Hollywood (USA) movies such as "Mystery Men" (1999)?
Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?
