This Hollywood (USA) movie directed by Ken Russell and starring William Hurt is a sensitive psychological drama about a daring intelligent Harvard scientist who conducts perceptual experiments on himself with a hallucinatory drug and an isolation chamber that may be causing him to intellectually regress genetically (source: IMDb).
Visual psychologists know that human beings perceive contours in shapes and sensitivities in color changes as reflex gradations, so perhaps "Altered States" (1980) represents human development resiliency.
Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?
