Kensington: Police ID victim, make arrest in stabbing death
The victim of a rare homicide in this upscale East Bay hills hamlet was identified Tuesday as retired psychology professor and patient advocate James E. Durkin Jr., who was found stabbed to death Monday in his home, police said.

Jim was a gentle soul, and this is a terrible tragedy, because Jim was unique, articulate, and a discerning intellectual.
