Wildfires set to increase 50 percent by 2050

Aug 2, 2009 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: PhysOrg Weblog

This graph shows the percentage increase in organic carbon particles at the surface, from the present-day to the 2050s, as calculated by the model of Spracklen et al.

Something else that a 1F increase in global temperature over 100 years is being accused it MIGHT cause, along with over 600 other items.

Wildfires, just like storms, hurricanes and other natural phenomena, will continue to taunt mankind for as long as he inhabits this planet.

If anything is to blame for wildfires, it's oxygen, so maybe we should get rid of oxygen?

Do you do better "modelling"? Does "nature" takes its course from you?

I bet I could teach those who wrote that model a few things that they didn't even know they didn't know.

Are you bored? Can you start your own modelling from scratch? That is the best approach. Fixing others' faults is not rewarding to me.

What could be rewarding to you, as you admit to having no brain?

I have written them. But it is normally eaiser to us parts of other programs or modules to speed up the process.

And these fires will start because of carbon particles... or ass wholes with matches?

If we can figure out how to deplete the atmosphere of all oxygen, we can stop all wildfires and become vegetarians.

Folks.. "The Truth Matters" posted "methane decomposes to CO2." And "Earthling" believed him.

Earthling has no brain.

P.S. They can not even question where the O2 would come from to give CO2 if "methane decomposes to CO2." They don't know the difference between combustion or decomposition.. or the difference between oxidation and decomposition.. They don't even know methane is CH4.

Oxidation is not decomposition. When CH4, methane, undergoes oxidation aka burn, then you get CO2 and water.

CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H2O

All very interesting, but I smell smoke. For real. Wildfires around here are serious business, and this report merely corroborates others that predict a huge fire increase as the climate warms. Which, of course, merely releases more carbon and further warms the climate.

Can you say, "feedback"?

Not really. You have to admit you and your ilk were WRONG.

We're having wildfires in Spain, as usual at this time of year.
8 firefighter have died here in the last few days.
Blame oxygen, because without it, there would be no fire.

Can you say plant growth. One of the big reasons for more wild fires is that more stuff is growing for it to burn. Which means the next year there will be even more plants growing in the burn areas.

Actually, tree growth rates in the Western US have slowed. The effects of heat and drought are much stronger than those of the increase in atmospheric CO2. Add millions more insect-killed trees, and you get more and larger fires contributing to still more greenhouse warming.

And this is merely in the boreal forests. The tropical forests will be next to burn.

How to provide orgasmic thrills for truthist, litesong and other AGW crisis peddlers.

Say something that is sort of wrong depending on how you slice it and dice it.

Truthist and others will have orgasmic delights flood their beings for years to come.

This brief departure from being wrong all the time will allow truthist and others to remind the word over and over that other people have no brain.

The declaration that people have no brain is a much needed therapeutic psychological boost to otherwise fragile Psyches.

OOPS PERHAPS THIS ORGASMIC THRILL WILL BE SHORT LIVED

per an AGW peddler web site:

"...anthropogenic methane emissions.

Natural processes in soil and the atmosphere

convert this methane to carbon dioxide

by oxidizing the carbon,

but 84 Tg of methane..."
