“Humanity would not survive another 1,000 years on Earth.”[probably true, my estimate 70%, i.e. likely]

“We must escape beyond our fragile planet.”[we're fragile, not the planet]

P.S. I understand his mood, however. Where can we go? We'd better be good to this planet and each other in peace. No more wars.
