This is certainly an important addition for those trying to improve cardiac drug
safety. However, the in vivo efficacy of these drugs also needs to have valid and
reliable tests something perhaps along the line of a rodent and a nonrodent model.
Our work with a rodent model showed that by combining agonists with antagonists in
an appropriate ratio receptor desensitization can be prevented (see -
