“Contrary to how things are often perceived, the Late Cretaceous wasn't a static 'lost world' that was violently interrupted by an asteroid impact," Brusatte said. "Some dinosaurs were undergoing dramatic changes during this time, and the large herbivores seem to have been mired in a long-term decline, at least in North America."

Huh, this guy publishes a few books and thinks he knows it all.
As in all ages of this planet changes have taken place. When the Chixilub meteor struck it arrested this process. Froze for ever the changes taking place at that time.
Just because the trend was going down at that time for some species, these smart guys think it was all over, anyway.
How shallow these guys think.

the dinosaurs were reptiles so I tkink the trassic extinction was caused because it was too hot and the jurassic extinction was caused cause there was no food. the cretaceous was caused by MANY things.

The dinosaurs were reptiles.

Triassic extinction= too hot

Jurassic extinction= no food

Cretaceous extinction= no food, too cold, asteroid, too hot, volcano.

In fact less about anything.
You've got two brain cells.
One is dead.
The other is dead also, but it doesn't know it yet.
