A comet, not an asteroid, killed the dinosaurs, according to new research
Only those dinosaurs related to birds appear to have survived. Most scientists agree that the culprit in this extinction was extraterrestrial, and the prevailing opinion has been that the party crasher was an asteroid.

This is all like from this novel I just read, a humorous sort of Douglas Adams-ish book about an asteroid headed toward earth, called THE MYOSHI EFFECT.

Nice article: so the OS & IR concentrations are lower than a typical mass expected for a big asteroid.
Makes some sense.
May get proof if the comet heading for Mars makes contact. Be sad for the rovers though.
