I suppose if the experts are mistaken the writer can hardly be expected to get a minor historical matter correct. Ms Goddard? 1945.

No, just someone who has seen time and again that things aren't always as the experts say. Take dinosaurs for instance. How many times in your life have you seen previous "proofs" proven wrong? It's not like the fossils have changed. I maintain a healthy skepticism when the experts speak of definitive proof.
