Scientists tell us that humans are currently causing the greatest mass extinction of species since that of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. If present trends continue, it is estimated that 20% to 50% of all species on Earth will be extinct in less than 100 years as a result of habitat destruction, pollution, invasive species and, last but not least, climate change. Plant life is not excluded. A recent study of plant diversity concluded that at least one in eight known plant species is threatened with extinction.

Ha, how could humans cause mass extinction 65 million years ago? They didn't even exist. Anyway, they are causing mass extinction today. With cars and buses and trucks and other smoke-air-producers, they may destroy the ocean and air. Thanks to trees, of course! And also, they didn't cause extinction 65 million years ago, cuz they didn't even exist that time with the dinosaurs. I'm amused and surprised your idiocy.

When are you going to clean up your act? There you go again with your berating and scare tactics. You know its getting old and maybe you should go find something else to occupy your time. The only one that needs to get a grip is you.You haven't realized that you lost the war and the battle with your scientific science fiction.

Its good that "fetid feces face flip flopper fiend" is so inept that it can't berate or scare anyone. "fetid feces face flip flopper fiend" is almost as inept as Pres. Reagan, who it tries to copy.

Look folks they allowed LVG out into the public again. Did you get a weekend pass? Your butt buddy the "pinheadlitesout" must have spoken a good word for you. Team up and get that check up from the neck up you two really really need. Well it could have been another volcano eruption that just spit LVG out.

Hi there Trolls, Ettins, the odd Boggert & a Gobbo or two in the mix somewhere.

More news on the Chixculub impact.

Apparently current theory is that it was a relatively fast moving comet rather than an asteroid. Main reason being that it left a bloody great big hole in the ground & produced comparatively little ejecta,(measurable in centimetres worldwide).

Will be interesting to see the actual article.

Also note: a recently discovered comet ~50Km diameter in hyperbolic retrograde orbit was initially calculated to make a very close pass to Mars in 2013. That one is likely to be quite pretty to watch as Hale Bopp had a nucleus of 60Km diameter and developed a coma as large as the sun.
The other item of interest for that one is that a hyperbolic retrograde orbit implies an origin from outside of the solar system,(a bit of space junk just passing through).

It that comet does make a close pass to Mars, all the space hardware up there will resemble Beirut in the 1980s civil war afterwards which means it will not work very well. In the small probability of an impact the crater diameter was projected to be 1000Km (ouch).

Did I mention the orc?, this forum is starting to sound a bit like Dungeons & dragons (lol).

Have a nice day: Ag
