Yeah, I think most of the ice will melt around my house this summer, too.

yes, ice melts in summer, because it is hotter. As it is sea ice, the sea level does NOT rise. Then in winter - it freezes! amazing! what a disaster, and it happens every year.

LOL. I hear that. I love when these climate disaster scenarios talk about " rising " seas because of ice melt. I always thought that the volume of water doesn't fluctuate no matter if icebergs are whole or if they melt. It's like saying, when you put ice in a glass and then fill it with water, when the ice melts, the cup is going to overflow. Total farce. Keep believing in " global warming " you lemming idiots.

Science is great. I present a model and advocate radical changes that affect every human on this planet. Then when my model doesn't work, I just change my model to include the new data. So now, it's the ozone that is allowing Antarctica to buck the model. Cold winters are also a sign of global warming. I am not about to say Human Influenced Warming of the Globe isn't happening, I just can't buy in based on these inconsistent theories.

Actually, all of science is modelling in one way or another. And it's continually corrected. That describes two of the differences between science and religion. Science is based on evidence, and science never claims that an answer is final.

You have it all wrong. This is all Bush's fault. All those extra oil tankers in the water is making the seas rise. Makes about as much sense as global warming. Hey, he gets blamed for everything else why not for this too!

WHAT! Hot in August in Ohio? You mean hot weather in summer? Oh my god! What is happening to our planet? It is out of balance because we evil humans have upset it. The Gods are angry, very angry.
We must sacrfice ourselves and live with less.

I see the "I love air pollution crowd" is here.

You are a real smart crowd. First you elect Bush and now you fight for "Air Pollution" under the guise of being against Global warming.

I am a dedicated environmentalist who does not believe in the global warming theory that says CO2 is going to provide a hell on earth on a melting planet for our kid's grandchildren. It is an opposing view, that's all; so don't demonize us by calling denier’s pollution lovers.
We should protect, preserve and most of all respect nature, not SAVE it from a nonexistent crisis.
By the way, global warmers are the vast minority here on the web’s largest forum on global warming.
Get ahead of the curve because history is going to laugh at the very idea that man is regulating the temperature of the planet.
What say ye?
Is 25 years of predictions long enough or do you just like this crisis and fear mentality.
It doesn't have to be like this. We can respect nature without being pushed by primative fear all the time. Can't we evolve more as humans?

I'm all for taking care of the environment, but I'm all against using unfounded scare tactics to push that agenda. These "scientists" are abusing their influential position to push their environmental agenda.

Every year we are warned that more ice will melt, and every year it melts more in one place, then freezes more in another. Every year we are warned that Hurricanes will be above average, and every year the # of Hurricanes remains average. Every year, we are advised that winters will be warmer, and this year the winter was much colder than normal.

Someone should start holding these "scientists" accountable. When they make predictions that the # of hurricanes will increase, coastal States spend more money preparing for it. Enough with the scare tactics, let's help the environment because it is the right thing to do.

Um, I think you were duped. I watched that video on youtube. It is obviously some liberal enviro freak that used the images of the Chevy commercial and put his own rantings on the screen over the images. Chevy would never make a commercial like that. Get a clue.

Gee, I am still getting ready for the coming ice age that was predicted in 1975. Now you tell me this thing about global warming? Man, I am so confused!

Obviously. But, at some point when you find yourself continually bastardizing that model to account for discrepencies, then maybe the model is wrong and you need to find a new one.

I'm all for reducing air pollution. But let's address it as reducing air pollution and allocate resources accordingly. Don't resort to scare tactics to further the cause. Look at these so called environmental solutions. Electric cars? Where does the electricity come from. Oh yeah, burning coal and oil mostly.
