Study sees smaller sea level rise

A new analysis halves longstanding projections of how much sea levels could rise if Antarctica's massive western ice sheets fully disintegrated as a result of global warming. Full Story

Man-made global warming? According to NASA and National Geographic it is affecting Mars. Scientific concensus? Thousands of scientists are challenging this, and reports say that less than half actually promote the theory. The earth's climate is always changing, and scientists are reporting that the facts don't fit the theory. Documentary "Great Global Warming Swindle" by Wag tv is just one that interviews several scientists explaining the faulty science behind the global warming theory-religion.

The mainstream news sources have no incentive to print these facts with market and political forces against them (i.e. fear for their coporate owners and loss of ad sales). People do your own homework, because the media won't!

Ever wonder why all the news sources pretty much always says the same thing? Countries like Russia are in awe of the level of censorship we have here without actually having a dictorship. Comes to show how influential market censorship really is, and how major corporations in bed with the government, so politics gets their sway too. The fact is, environmental groups have stepped up the amount of spending on lobbying and propaganda as well if not more than the oil and gas industries. I'd say the look at the alternative news sources, as long as they support the facts and disclose their source, their more likely to be more credible than our main stream media. They're the only ones asking the other questions, and printing the other facts.

Uh, Yeah, that's because global warming is a myth.

Oh wait, didn't Obama say that if he was elected, that would mark the day that the oceans would cease to rise. Well, I guess that's one campaign promise he kept, even though he has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Sea levels have been much higher and much lower in times past. We'll get what we get, as and when nature decides.
It won't happen quickly, there'll be plenty of time to avoid drowning and beachfront properties will be ready for demolition due to old age before they become inundated.
Al Gore has proved how much he believes his own words, when he recently bought the multi million dollar condo in San Francisco, at a level he predicts the rising sea will reach.

Already an old story- the rate "dropped" a bit around 2008, but it's now back to the previous rate.

Short-term variation due to temperature changes in the ocean, as I recall.

So is the rate of sea level rise, "in the decade centred on 1980 (5.31 mm/yr)."

It dropped during the 20th century, "with the lowest rate of rise occurring in the decade centred on 1964 (- 1.49 mm/yr)."

What's long term, in your opinion, 2008 was less than 3 years ago?
