Making Rubber from Dandelion Juice

Rubber from dandelions is not new. I can remember hearing about studies to produce rubber from dandelions and other latex-containing plants during the mid-1940s as part of World War II effort to utilize a more secure source of rubber for tires and other military uses. Apparently it was found to be impractical at that time.
