From pristine reef to coral wasteland

There are 3 comments on the CDNN - Scuba Diving News story from Jul 31, 2009, titled From pristine reef to coral wasteland. In it, CDNN - Scuba Diving News reports that:

The scientific projections are ominous. If substantial steps aren't taken globally to counter the effects of climate change, reefs in Hawai'i and around the world eventually could become coral wastelands, decimated by increasingly acidic and warming ocean waters.

And? I doubt if the jelly fish and squid that are taking over care much about the corals anyway. They don't need such 'nurseries'.

Oh for God'd sake what do you want us to do? Hey?
The amount of carbon dioxide {CO2} has for all practical purposes remained at around 0.03%
to 0.04% for the last 2 Centuries! Rising about
5 parts per million every decade, since the Industrial Revolution of 1900! Its over harvesting
for tourist trinkets, and overfishing in the warm
waters around these very fragile protozoan nuclea-
ted calcium carbonate skeletons, which take 100
if not 1000 of years to fossilize!! The fish feed
on the plankton, and commercial overfishing with huge nets deprives new protozoan food-chain con-

These ocean waters where corals thrive, like the Great Barrier Reef in the Gold Coast of Queensland
Australia have endured millions of years of changing temperatures! As a matter of fact the more dissolved CO2, from rain precipitation as
mild carbonic acid, first forming the water soluble calcium/magnesium bicarbonates, converted to insoluble calcium/magnesium carbonates by
corals, oysters, crustacians should increase
their growth just as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is absorbed by trees leaves, grasses,
thru photosynthesis!!
So we can't go back to the horse and buggy!
We can reduce CO2 by 6% to 8% in 15 years,
reforest the Earth to absorb both HEAT, and CO2
but these CORALS won't feel any difference for
crying out loud!!
Stop overharvesting, stop overfishing!!
