Goes to show you that all the money we send to China is being spent on weapons - not infrastructure.. SAD day for many - wish them the best
I have to give praise to Chinese government for their reaction to this earthquake. Chinese prime minister was on his plane to the area in less than 2 hours. Chinese media is on non-stop broadcast from the first minute. Compare to President Bush was still on vacation playing golf after New Orleans was under water for three days. It is time for some Americans to stop thinking they are on the top of world anymore. Americans can learn something from others too.

Although we met more than 30y ears of one in the earthquake, but we can help each other, support each other will certainly be able to tide over their loved ones because we feel heartache but we can turn grief into strength to face our future. we are very sad but also very pleased that we the victims when we realised that the people across the country and international friends help us.use of an ancient chinese saying that we are"a loss may turn out to be a gain".

Isn't China over populated? Maybe this is a way to help with that problem.

So maybe communist china should spend a little less on building weapons and a little more on housing 5 million people.

I'm sure at least 80% of them were almost immediately killed, and judging from the amount of rubble in pictures I have seem, given the condition of access to the areas, they are doing a tremendous job. Kudos to all of them, as well as prayers.

Well why don't we just outsource FEMA to China. We already send them all of our manufacturing business.

I spent three years on Guam, saw many typhoons, FEMA was ver helpful to us while there. On the other hand, in New Orleans, the feds were repeatedly turned away by the mayor as well as the governer of Louisiana.

It's China. Tragic loss of life, but we have enough problems to deal with here. Let's spend our money and effort at home for a change....(oh my god, did sigh just say that? What about the children, won't someone pleeeease think about the children??)

Thank you sichuan. I will act for the informed and educated in the west. To the beautiful people in your provance we wish you well. We feel for the victams, both the dead and those who have lost family and friends. I have walked in Chengdu with my lady. We went through a park at 10PM. I would like those here to name a city in the west, preferably, where I could do that. I visited your beautiful city, meet the beautiful people and left my heart in Chengdu, The loss of life is breaking my heart. There is a song many of the west will sing now. It is called "I left my smiles in thee city of hybiscus". All my love.(I'm white, anglo saxon, blue eyes and 60 years old before you di*k heads jump to asumptions)

Until China relaeases all of these poor bears from captivity and stops the cruel harvesting of bear bile this tragedy will continue. China and this province will not get a break until these bears are all set free and the inhumane treatment of these bears has stopped. See the link below if you have never heard of this cruel bear bile harvesting.
