Interesting.

It may however see the removal of all the VI data on display in the Smithsonian global volcanism website.
They have already as a result of the makeover deleted all of the simkin et al format data on the makeup of individual eruptions in the database.

Screwing up the entire archive database of global volcanism over a protest about the sequester is a mite annoying...

Hmm had a dropout in the post.

For VI data (ref annoyed people in white long johns);
read instead VEI data dealing with column height and in part productivity in volcanoes.
