Hot ticket Rising lava levels means more tourists at Kilauea
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is preparing for an influx of visitors as lava lake levels in Halemaumau Crater continue to rise to their highest point since since its formation following an explosive eruption on March 19, 2008.

Looks like the feeder fracture to puu Oo is now beginning to crystallise shut.
Missing from the article was the capture of the outflow to the pali and regions immediately downslope of the pali (a few years ago they reached the ocean).
The gradual rise of halemaumau lava lake is a direct result of the gradual narrowing of the Puu Oo feeder fracture. Eventually it will either weld shut forming Halamaumau outflow lavas or alternatively will re open following a jog of the S. flank rift in a small earthquake resulting in another spectacular drainage event.
Interesting times to watch.
