Interesting little article.
In modern times, the Blair/Brown (UK) & Bush regime (USA) tried to create rather more examples of dead geologists than existed prior to their theocratic time in office.
They were of a mindset where a gravestone (or even a grave) for an ex geological scientist was surplus to requirements.
