I am new to learning fly genetics. Can anybody give me some useful information about UAS-Gal4 system, P-elements and balancer chromosomes.

one more thing-
what happens when you cross these two flies-

Ddc + X SP TH6 B
---------- ; ---------- ; ----------
Ddc + Cyo TH2

I have no idea about this.

Please help me...
