Slippery slope. Not sure what the reasons were for doing this. Perhaps it was to prevent a genetic medical condition. But in general, this is a real slippery slope.

Humans are not commodities. We've already devalued human life by allowing abortion under all sorts of circumstances -- not just rape or physical danger to the mother, but as a method of birth control. If we devalue human life to this point, than anything can eventually become allowable, even to those already born and functioning in society. Just give it enough time for the public to become more calloused.
