Barack Obama was first a card carrying Socialist member of their party, and the Democrats knew that. But even Biden thought he could "rein him in" if he went too far. Well, he couldn't rein him in, and Obama, had his way for 4 years, bringing the country to the edge of the cliff. It is time to back away, and go the other way. Even Democrats are facing the fact the man made horrible decisions when he decided to play President, and came off the golf course. Now he wants 4 more years. Huh uh!! The election won't be close.

Thanks for further proving the validity of Mooney's assertion: conservative are so fixed in their beliefs that facts won't change them.

The Republican Brain on the Republican Brain - Scientific American lauds author Chris Mooney "as one if the few journalists in the country who specialize in the now dangerous intersection of science and politics." I read every post on this thread and if some of these posters weren't so bent-stupid it would be funny. I have people that I work for insisting to pay me in cash. These people are not political. They know nothing of what we deal with everyday here. They pay in cash because they are removing any money trail. These people are planning for the worst and their accountants have told them to hide their money...Downsizing is happening everywhere around here. People are building big barns and putting 2 to 3 thousand square foot living quarters in them. That way they get their entire property wrote-off as ag-exempt and they dont pay shyt in property taxes....Most of the forclosed houses that wont sell are 2-stories with thousand dollar a month electric bills.....These people are doing everything to get off the grid, and I am too. I've been working on mine for awhile. My latest find was how to deal with my phone and internet. In a few months I'll have it all for $55 a month.....The next thing is the new truck. It takes the entire time I drive one (5 to 7 years) to save the money to pay cash for the new one, but doing it that way keeps one's SSI # out of the works....This guy has changed alot of people. They dont think it patriotic to pay taxes anymore. They dont feel very patriotic at all. That's a shame, but that's the way it is.

He's a whiny little Chump....The truck I drive right now is a 2007 Silverado. When I bought it in Nov. 2007 I got it for 15k out the door. It was a repo with less than 10,000 miles on it. I haven't done anything to it but change the oil, tires, and light bulbs....That's a real-life experience not some BS from a commie website. All I gave them was name and address for the title change.

I blame the Democrats as much as I blame Obama. They knew he was a card carrying Socialist, and they fielded him anyway. Could we ever trust a candidate of theirs again? No.

Most conservatives started political life as liberals. The older they got, the more conservative they became - at least from a fiscal standpoint. If you live long enough, you'll understand. When you're young, you're in favor of spending other people's money. LOL You haven't been "victimized" by taxes and more taxes and less and less benefit. But, over time, you get a clear picture of how incompetent the government is when it comes to spending our contributions. This, in turn, makes you reluctant to want to give them a penny more. Whoolah! You're a fiscal conservative;-)

Whatever party somebody belonged to when they were young is not a basis for characterizing them a few decades later.

You have one of two options. Let's return to Reagonomics and Bush policy or let's try it a different way (albeit only slightly different)and continue with Obama trying to find more equity in the formula. We so abhored our path under Bush that Republicans crossed over in substantial numbers and helped elect Barack Obama. Now, only four years later, does it make sense that some of those same disenchanted voters are signing on for a return to policies that put us in such a tough spot in the first place? I really don't understand what you hope to accomplish by endorsing going backwards again. What makes you believe it will "trickle down"? It didn't in the past, and I don't think the majority of voters will pull the lever to try it all over again.

You know that whimpy little lib pulled the same shyt they always do. The point of my post was that people are scared and worried about Obama and doing things that they believe will help them get by. The little plastic lib diverted the conversation to a damn truck. Typical "deflection with communistic intent". I said that.

The only problem with that is none of the people that I know who voted for Obama are going to vote for him again because they did not sign up for a socialist in the White House, and they are all for anyone but Obama. They are not looking at or caring about what you're talking about. They were working during the Bush years and not working since Obama.... They are all in Texas which is going to be a Romney state anyway. So how they vote shouldn't matter to much to you.

Agree, that is one thing I have never done or intend to do in the future as I never had the need to....I buy nothing unless I have cash on hand for it...
