toxic topix AGW deniers have taken potshots at electric cars for decades.

Usually forgotten is that electric motors are 3 times more efficient that 100 years of gasoline engine development.

Furthermore, transportation of fuel to gas stations add 35% to gasoline engine carbon footprint. Silly, gasoline biased industry writings try bury EVs, but only the incredible waste of the auto industry is revealed.

Almost no electric car pollutions are emitted in-city. Except for the energy industry's penchant for placing coal & gas-fired powerplants & chimneys upwind of poor people, electric cars getting cleaner.

Then, produce power with hydro, wind or solar, & EVs emit less than a runner.

EV's rule. Wind turbines rule. Solar rules.

Gasoline engine vehicles ran over their yardstick.

"A new study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology states that electric cars that receive energy from coal-fired power plants could potentially have a higher carbon footprint than some of their petrol or diesel-powered counterparts."

Even coal fired plants are a POINT source of pollution. It is much easier to reduce emissions at a single large source than to reduce emissions at many distributed sources of generation. The statement "...could potentially..." says more than the study as a whole.
