It's as though Lincoln County (Ruidoso especially)
cannot catch a break. With mother nature seemingly determined to kill off the forest with drought, fire, and/or bark beetles, what will become of our mountain town with its longtime reputation of being nestled among the beautiful Ponderosa pines? Will the race track still manage to bring visitors in when other potential tourists have lost interest? What isn't being destroyed by nature is being destroyed by questionable leadership who lack integrity or morals.
The criminal element here grows each day as the cartel with their money laundering and other illegal activities seems to have gained a foothold.

When posters speak negatively of this area, at least in my case, it isn't because I wish bad things upon the community, it's because I *want* rain, healthy trees and foliage, forest animals who are able to find food, and snowfall for the ski season, etc. I want to weed out the non-competent jerks in office and get some leaders who care as much as most of us do. We need answers, solutions, action and commitment to the general welfare of our town. There is talk that one village council member may be that type of leader. We need that person to stand up and in doing so, he or she will find appreciation and support among us peons. We need to start somewhere before all is lost.
