This has been a way to control the rattlesnakes for around Sweetwater, for 56 years. This annual Rattlesnake Round up has provided Anti-Venom that has helped save numerous people's lives. None of the snake is thrown away/wasted. It provides much needed revenue for many people in the area. Plus it is an added attraction for many, many visitors from around the World!! It gives people a first hand look at seeing rattlesnakes close up!! I hunted in 2nd one in 1959. Lots of fun!!!
