Mormons again. Not surprising that they got a few points wrong. The Moon and stars are not fixed, they move, and quite a bit. The moth navigation is adapted to this fact. So to use their own point, we as humans must adapt to the fact that the only thing that remains the same is change in the universe. Meaning, we must progress, we must adapt, and we must stop resisting the changing universe. Things which remain the same cannot exist.

It's actually a pretty good strategy--or at least the only one left to people like Eyring. When you don't like the answers to questions, change the questions. Saying that what really matters is that belief may be helpful even when patently false is like promoting an intellectual placebo. It may work to counter hypochondria, but truth about reality is much better for the intellect.

Only fools prefer pretty lies to even the harshest of realities.

I think the problem is that very few people are smart or sincere enough to check their religious lies before spreading them. They are much more content in going with fantasy rather than reality. It's a mental illness after all.
