Sarcosuchus is not actually a crocodilian, it was a pholidosaurid, which superficially resembled modern crocodilians.
The largest Purussaurus skulls are smaller than the large fragmentary skulls of Phobosuchus (formerly known as the larger, western population of Deinosuchus) and was thus probably similar in size or smaller.
That size may well have been smaller than the previously quoted 12 meters too.
