It's a good thing I gave it up, not only because it's a lie(and full of bollocks), but also because of its primitiveness.

Religion is sexist. You'd probably think otherwise, but why is God a male, & not a female? Why were all the apostles male? Why are only men allowed to be priests? Most religions(chiefly Christianity and Islam) are quite sexist indeed. Many religions say that men can only be rulers, not women. The Bible says that Jesus took on a male form because "a woman's body is a dirty, sinful thing" not fit for a great religious leader to emerge from. It's oppresive to women.

I hate the fact that Catholicism is opposed to birth control. Lack of birth control is what creates overpopulation. Why won't Catholics accept that abortion is many times necessary. Sometimes, Catholics even oppose medical assistance during birth.

Another reason is the Catholic stance against homosexuality(Yes, I am homosexual). There isn't anything wrong with homosexuality, but there are many things wrong with being homophobic. And don't tell me any of your "God created Adam and Eve" bullsh*t because we don't know who the first humans were or if they had names at all.

Catholics have always discriminated atheists at least a little. They oppress homosexuals, which, are actually superior in every way to the Christians that discriminate them.

Religion is sexist? Hardly. God doesn't have a gender. God is only refered to as a "he" because God is often considered to be our heavenly "father". Fathers are male. Jesus took on a womans form because he is the human incarnation of God, who is considered to be "male", therefore Jesus assumed the role of a male. The bible teaches that women were made to provide a partner for men. That is not opprseeive. We all seek the connection to another human being, and it just so happens that that connection between men and women often ends in a romantic relationship. Leaders can be women. The bibles does not forbid it, nor does it frown upon it. There were some people who did in days gone by, but most christians do not have a problem with female leaders.

Catholics do indeed frown upon birth control, but how is that a bad thing? Birth control is so often used in un-stable relationships and thrown around like it means nothing. Nowadays kids are having kids and they don't even know who the father or mother is. It's ridiculous. That being said, i am a protestant, and i believe that birth control is acceptable (it is not forbiden in the bible), but it is used far too often these days.

As for overpopulation. Christians believe that God made the world big enough for everyone. There is plenty of space left. People just seem to wnat to build more buildings in already crowded cities, rather than the un-touched countryside. That being said, the natural world should not be destroyed, as the bible states that God wants us to respect and protect our world.

Homosexuality is considered a sin. But that does not mean that Christians hate homosexuals. Jesus was everloving, and he wants us to follow his example. If a gay person was to walk into a church, and be willing to sit down, be civil and listen to our beliefs, he would be accepted, not kicked out. We Christains believe that we are ALL children of the lord our God, and he loves us more than he can fathom, despite all the sins we commit. Homosexuality is no worse to Christains than any other sin.

Claiming that homosexuals are superior to Christains is a mad statement though. We are all equal, no matter our religions, races, sexual orientation, gender etc.

God bless you.

He can't bless me if he doesn't exist!

Also, sexual orientation is determined at a young age. Your saying that something is a sin when someone has no control over it? It's not like they chose to be homosexual!

I beg to differ with your first statement.

Sexual orientation is a personal choice, determined at a young age. I have a frined in real life, who is Gay, and he made that decision, just as you choose to be Atheist, and i chose to be Christian. Saying that you are "born gay" is nonsense. It is a choice. One that i do not agree with, but i definately do not hate those who choose to be Gay.

http://www.apa.org/helpcenter/sexual-orientat...

There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles; most people experience little or no sense of choice about their sexual orientation.

This post is pure troll.
Sexual orientation is determined by your DNA make up. There is no choice about it.
In fact the human being has very little choice about anything. They only think they do.
Only intellectual determination can alter what you are, and very few have the power to control what their code is.
To give one example: the authorities think they can cure pedophiles, well you can't.
The same as you can not "cure" gay's.
We are all what we are born to be.
