When I first joined this forum, over a year ago, users were discussing the latest papers, blog posts etc. Now, however, as I post this, the forum survives, merely, as a place to throw organisms into pointless battles. Sure, vs threads are okay in small doses, but letting them dominate the forum is childish. This is what has happened, and for that reason I am withdrawing from this forum, as I have no interest in participating in such discussions.

The forum has not lost its purpose Paudie. It was put here for people to discuss dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.
VS threads are one of the first topics to have appeared when this forum was made, back in 2006/2007.
Believe me, ive been here since 2007, and ive seen quiet a bit, and VS threads have always been more common than the latest papers, blog posts etc.
The majority of users here are either not interested in scientific papaers, or just want to discus dinosaurs fighting.

Personally, i don't mind if the forum is 90% vs fights, i still join in here and there (although i would prefer it if there were more scientific discussions).
It is up to the wider community what is discussed here, whether it is dinosaurs fighting, or scientific studies, not just a few user's opinions.

Also, if you feel more scientific discussions should be introduced, why don't you start some yourself, to get some discussions going, instead of leaving?
Leaving the forum is not going to help, especially since you are a valuable contributor.

@S. King: That is fine. If you like versus threads, then stay. I don't particularly like them. So, I am leaving. This forum was never dominated by these threads, until now. When I made this thread the last ten updated threads were versus ones.

@N.REX:Are you familiar with the saying "If you have nothing good to say about someone, don't say anything"? It is a poor sign of your character, if you remember users for a few negative things, rather that the positive ones. My respect for you has been lowered.

I agree, I'm alright with the fighting ones but come on people there needs to be a little more scientific threads here!

How can there be dinosaur "science" when they never existed?

6,014 years ago the fossils and all the rest of the universe was created. To believe otherwise is misguided and imperils your immortal soul. Dinosaurs or God the Creator? It should not be that tough a choice.

Go some where else if you don't believe in dinosaurs or evolution, we don't need people trying to embarrass them selves in front of people with a brain.

Yes I believe in god too but there is no reason to completely disregard all the evidence of these events!

Arguements does not equal debates. Oh, I activated your account on Paleoplace. Feel free to post.

Evidence? Do you mean the cobbled together claptrap the eggheads use to justify their salaries at the world's universities? Find an old textbook on the subject and compare it with what is being said now. Everything 'fact' then is now wrong and every 'fact' now will be wrong in the future. It's all an illusion meant to lead you away from the One Truth.

May I let you know that lots of the things in christianity are also being studied and some are proven to be false information, also if you don't agree with the so called eggheads then what do you bass your info from some guy that did something thousands of years ago and pasted down by generations to be fact, these guys have at least evidence there is no evidence that jesus even existed. So go on prove it or follow your invisible hope!

He's Jesus, the son of god how created all living things including the dinosaurs and evolution. I'm not saying that there is no god, personally I believe in god but there is no reason to say that god doesn't exist because science can't prove that.

IMO god created living things which started evolution and things, think of it everything is made of atoms, elements, ext but there is no possible way to say what caused the big bang or what caused that aswell, the only human explanation is god!

Unless you think the world is a continuous amount of universes with in atoms continueing which I once thought but then again explaining how it continues forever is impossible to say!
