My guess on best therapod is a Vasatosaurus Rex thats 70 feet long and 60 feet tall.It also has arms 4 metres long and claws 30 centimetrs long which were good at tearing through flesh and the claws were curved with rough edges and the claws had a good grip which therefore used for slashing prey or help it get up after resting or grasping a dead body when feeding. Its head was 2x bigger then a Charchdontosaurus's head which is bigger then a T.Rex's head and its teeth were 50 centimetres long and meant to slice and tear through flesh and meat and break bones at the same time.It weighed 20 tons but was able to run at speeds at 50 mph and its legs allowed it to jump high if its gonna jump on a saurapods back (although the saurapod has to be big like argentinosaurus to actually get jumped on)and its foot claws(claws on feet, whatever you call it)were 40 centimetres long and were meant to tear through flesh, break bones and give the therapod a good grip.It was very intelligent and could hold its own aginst a fully grown human (which is actually very smart)and has the smell of 1000 bloodhounds, has ears so powerful it can sense the tiniest vibration in the ground/air,and its vision is as good as 100 eagles. And it had short rough bumpy spikes on its tail which were 20 centimetres long just in case if another animal tried to steal its kill or to help it hunt.

Mine would be a Tonta Matrues a crocodilian but a lot bigger and able to be a biped with a ankylosaurus club tail also with stegosaurus spike tail along its tail also having tough armoured outside and even claws bigger than spinosaurus's taller just a bit than common theropods including spinosaurus WHILE ON ALL FOURS, TWENTY METRES LONG and and having bite pressure 3times stronger than Tyrannosaurus's and just as deadly in the water reaching speeds up to 50 MPH reaching to being almost bigger than megalodon used to usually go eighther swimming hunting down monsters of the deep or taking down large sauropods you also should know it was smart really smart it conserved food and mated rarely increasing chances of survival. The only thing safe from this beast were the small dinosaurs and flying reptiles like pterasaurs and birds.Being the tallest living thing it towered over everything but seeming it was a reptile and emonsouly large it would tire easily?Wrong it had a short spine like spinosaurus and also a crest to cool itself when it was tired or hot.So how do you like my supreme dinosaur?

But really the ultimate Dinosaur would be the one who evolved furthest like T rex or Tricerotops maybe even Ankylosaurus.

Well,V.Rex is basically what a T.Rex would be if it survived and lived for another 64 million years.

Your surpreme dinosaur is awesome and cool.It probbably would've been top predator of where it lived and it probbably was one of the toughest things it was real.

thanx I got the idea off most other dinos and jumbled them up to make a super predator.for example the crest was from dilophosaurus the height, claws and spine was off spinosaurus the jaw and quadroped was off deinosuchus and tyrannosaurus the the tail was off stegosaurus and ankylosaurus the brains was off dromeosaurs and the swimming and reptile like was off pleiseosaurs(Probably spelt that wrong):D.

Would there have been an ultimate dinosaur?

I mean more so than those before the meteor strike.

It is possible that without the meteor strike Dino's would have given way to mammals anyway.

They were probably at their peek then.

With the exception perhaps of Rapters and Troodon etc, coz they looked to be the future for Dino's not your T.rex etc.

And the rise of birds was already well established.

But man is the ultimate creature, and IMO was inevitable to evolve, even without the meteor strike.

Circumstances, would have been different:
For instance we might have fought against advanced Dino's such as Troodons.

But the result would be the same.

Okay here's a made up therepod.
Supercrosaurus, a 15 metre long allosaurid. With lethal spikes on its tail, and horns on its body, supercrosaurus was a force to be reckoned with. With a lethal battery of shark like teeth over 20 inches and a bite force of 13 tons, it was the king of dinosaurs the end goodbye.
