Who would win, the tough abeilosaurid or the mighty Allosaurus and why?

Let's stop with these fights while we're ahead. They're pointless and meaningless.
These guys didn't live with each other, geographically or historically, in the first place.

We do these fights because we don't see dinosaurs just their bones. It's the powers of the human imagetion. We take these fights as a way to help our minds grow and see wonderful things.

We see dinosaurs all the time. I just saw one flying around outside my window. "vs" threads are useless unless the animals in question actually lived together.

It actually isn't really imaginative. It just creates useless arguments over which dinosaur is better. The fighting ability and ferociousness of a dinosaur has never been seen, and its behavior never witnessed so nobody would ever know for sure.

They help inject some life into the form though.

Whilst that is true, I do not agree with doing so because I think it is childish and facetious. This is the Dinosaur Forum, not the Dinosaur vs. Dinosaur forum. Lets get into reality for a second, I mean there are multiple discoveries about dinosaurs every week, and I don't even see half of them posted about or commented on.

My second point is: we don't know their behavior, and we cannot reproduce it by randomly speculating the terrain, the gregariousness or even suggesting they would fight for no intent or for even abating resources. Although these are invigorating fields of paleontology it is simply impossible to fathom or comprehend behaviors in extinct organisms unless if fossils directly display this (e.g., the Velociraptor-Protoceratops "combat" fossil) or if somebody builds a time machine.
Animals usually fight when they are competing for lessening resources. Since Carnotaurus sastrei and Allosaurus fragilis never lived together (for they are separated by 75 million years and a whole continent) this is pointless. If their niches were similar and they did live in the same place, it could be possible or even plausible that these two beasts competed on a moderated occasion.
Since niche is an aspect of behavior, however, I'm not going to speculate what may have occurred.

Well, like he said, they bring life into the forum. If this forum just had news and whatnot, it wouldnt have half as many users as i does know. Even though sometimes they may be a little overwelming, remember that without them, pretty much no one else would be on here.
