Who would win a Utahraptor or a Siberian Tiger.

I say Utahraptor would win.

Utahraptor has too much of a size advantage for the tiger to win.

I agree, Utahraptor is way too big for the tiger to win. A better fight would be Deinonychus vs Siberian Tiger, because they're both around the same size.

i agree with you, Siberian tigers weigh over 600 pounds and are more compact and powerful the utahraptor it fast and deadly claws but i don't think that long claws are effective against smaller animals and the claws are better fr animals larger then them selves. Also I don't think utahraptor is as heavy as some people say, If you compare to dienonychus that was 100 pounds and 10 feet long, Utahraptor is 20 feet long and IMO 800 pounds or less because like all raptors they are light weight and not powerhouses. also the tiger would have an advantage In naturaly hunting alone and raptors that hunted in pack are probably bad one on one fighters, considering that they don't fight alone.

Utahraptor was different.
Most sources say that Utahraptor was half a ton, which is 1000 pounds.

Utahraptor was a large predator of large animals.
I believe the Dromaeosaur would win this.

Deinonychus could bite harder than a Tiger. 'nuff said.

A siberian tiger: 700 pounds of really stubborn velcro that eats you as it clings. youtube>cats fighting...then decide for yourself.
You asked.

The siberian tiger would go for a bite to the spine. There's a great length of spine on a dino. Game over.

Utahraptor wins, size + weight + weaponry ( about the same agility, less speed perhaps) wins the day. At any rate, it would be terribly tough to get a successful spine bite on a maddened utahraptor. The claws on the foot would not do much, but the hand claws could. The most dangerous part would be the jaw, though. While utahraptor's teeth aren't the least bit impressive compared to monstrosities like rex, spino, giga, etc., theey're likely larger and deadlier than a tiger's, and the bite force is larger too. Raptors are probably pretty good one on one, considering there is no real evidence theey pack hunted. And the tiger might not let go easily if it got a hold, but if you think that's good, just think about the utahraptor. If the tiger was on the utah, it could probaly shake if off easier than the dromaesaur catching the feline, due to the utahraptor's nastier claws and jaws and also the fact that the utah is bipedal. Think about it, which is easier, riding a large dog or riding a person?( with sharp teeth and claws + a powerful bite )

I doubt that the raptor was in excess of 1000 pounds. IMO it was probably on average 700 pounds, still heavier then the tiger on average but the tiger would be more compact and powerful.

Da femur method gives a 6 m utahraptor a mass of 400 kg

Please explain how the tiger is "more powerful".

The body of any big cat is very powerful and can kill with one hit that or a fatal bite to the neck or head. The raptor is not even close in power pound for pound. The raptor is like all raptors and gracile and made to hunt in packs the raptor would probably be similar in behavier to a wolf, it would be faster and bigger in dimensions but lack power big time. However the raptor would not go down easily so I say this is very close fight.

Utahraptor:~45%

The raptor could also one-hit kill. Pound for pound doesn't matter much, ( think of ant vs elephant )it's who actually is stronger. There is no real hard evidence that any dromaesaur pack hunted, so finding proof that utahraptor did is even harder.

With the slight size difference and the tiger stonger pound for pound the tiger was probably stronger period. The raptors in my opinion were pack hunters because they have all these claws and gracile build so they couldn't hunt prey bigger then them selves with out help other wise the prey would kill the lone raptor.

Also that ant vs elephant is a very bad example but thanks for putting that anyway, it makes me laugh!

Mmmmmm, seems something happpened in my absence. YAYS!11ONEONEONE

err, spinodnt, bite force doesn't MATTER if you are completely outmatched in weaponary; i'm not saying the tiger will win but it certainly won't be easy game.

mattking, there is NO EVIDENCE OF PACK HUNTING DROMEASAURIDS. DEAL WITH IT!1ONEONEONE

now, the tiger has the advantages of being quadrapedal, and agility, as well as possibly speed. this won't overwrite the utah's size advantage+bite though.

60/40 utah.

there isevidence of them hunting in packs because of many of them dieing in the same place plus tooth marks on prey that deid near by multiple raptors.
