Size in this case doesn't matter. Giga was slightly bigger but perhaps in this case the individual Carch might be a little stronger which makes it equal. And on average they're the same size basically.

Very similar, but Gig may be just a smidge larger.

I would say that both of them had almost the same size. If they ever meet each other i think that giganotosaurus would probably win. Size does matter.

NoĦ a little larger size really don't matter.

Size really matter. Giganotosaurus hunted in packs. 6 or more giganotosaurus can take down a large argentinosaurus. If carcharodontosaurus would battle giganotosaurus it would definitely lose as other pack members would attack it and tear it into pieces. Carcharodontosaurus hunted alone.

That's not the point, this is a 1 on 1 fight. Also, there isn't a clear size advantage to either, they are basically the exact same size. This is 50/50, they are much too similar. P.S i am fairly sure this is the topic i made my first post on!

If you talk about 1to 1 fight then i will still say that giganotosaurus would win. It has a slightly larger size than carcharodontosaurus. The maximum size for giganotosaurus carolini is 46ft or a little more. It had a maximum weight of more than 9000 kg. It has the ability to attack on huge sauropods. The jaw of giganotosaurus is upto 5.8 feet long full with sharp serrated teeth. Giganotosaurus may have a larger brain than carcharodontosaurus as it was a pack killer. Still say that carcharodontosaurus would win?

Still say that carcharodontosaurus would win? First of all, i never said that Carch would win, i said it was 50/50. Please provide a source for your "46 feet or more" Giga, because i am very very very sure that Gigas current length is 13m or just over. If you are talking about the alledged specimen that is "8%" bigger than the holotype but awaits further preperation, that doesn't count. If it did count, Utahraptors official length would be 11m! But it isn't, so the largest confirmed size so far for Giga is still 13.2m Also, Carcharodontosaurus actually has the higher weight estimate by a mile. You say Giga is estimated at 9 tonnes, but Carch's max estimate is 15 tonnes! Carch also has the ability to attack Sauropods (Paralititan) and it may have lived in packs as well (need more fossil evidence to proove this however). As for sharp teeth, i think every Theropod has those. Like i said before, this is 50/50.

When I said that giganotosaurus weight estimate is about 9000 kg was talking about the average weight. If you take example of spinosaurus the maximum weight is 21,000 kg but spinosaurus is generally accepted as 10,000 kg or some more. If you say the maximum counted weight of giganotosaurus it is 13,400 kg. Please tell me which source do you used to tell that carcharodontosaurus weight was 15,000 kg? I am not talking about 50/50 but i want to know who will win and who will lose.

I am quite certain that Giga and Carch both hunted in packs to bring down the large sauropods in their environment(Argentinosaurus, Paralititan). Also, wasn't the size of Giga a bit bigger? I read on one article that Giga was 14 meters long.

WWD got it wrong (by WWD i mean the special- "Chased By Dinosaurs"). I have also read many many different sizes for these Theropods, some ranging from 8m (absurd) to 16m. Any 1 size can't be believed unless it is from a reliable source such as a paper directly written about a recent scientific study.
