No such thing as evolution. Which come first, the chicken or the egg?
My dad built a chicken house in our back yard and for weeks there was no eggs.
But one day I went in and it was full of chickens, the next day I found eggs.
So obviously the chicken house came first....
Because my dad built it....
No,'ang on..?
My dad came first.... No, wait.
My Grandad... No,, no.
My Great grand...
Wait....
I missed something here, were the hell did the chickens come from?
The egg came first. If you trace the history of your chickens I think you'll find that your chickens hatched from eggs.

Evolution works fine and has done for billions of years. It really doesn't care if some people can't get their head around it.

Wrong Dude.
Chickens evolved egg laying sometime during there long lineage.

Yes. And if we trace their lineage as it goes back to the dinosaurs, we will find that they were laying eggs, long before modern chickens appeared in the fossil record.

The term chicken/egg is metaphorical.

Ok let's narrow it down without being too technical.
Reproduction and embryoic development is part of the evolution of life, it's method evolved from what determined the process.
If the egg was there at the beginning, then it was an equal part of the development of life: chicken/egg = the same.
IMO the egg was a later adaption, therefore it came second.
Literaly then, the metaphorical chicken came first.

Fact or metaphor? My post was based on fact. While I get what you're saying about organism/egg-embyronic development, the fact is it wasn't a chicken back then.

So we are down to the definition of a chicken.
The lineage of a chicken has been changing and evolving from day one. Evolution is on going.
The creature we call a chicken is called a chicken because thats what we call it now.
It has, and always will be, an ever changing species. What we call it is irrelevant.
Lol.

He is right, it would not have been a chicken 'back then'.
Whilst what we call it IS pretty much irrelevant, a chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is not the same as an Asilisaurus. Asilisaurus probably layed eggs. It's ancestors probably did. It doesn't mean they are chickens.

The first organism to lay an egg was not a G. gallus domesticus, so we cannot call it a chicken.

Well, I guess that settles it. Since no human has ever been bit by a flea, we're not apes.

Remind me again, how did Europe lose so many people during the Black Death?

Do you have a copy of KAB's Bullshit Dictionary? Because you argue just like him.

Fleas, numbnutz. The Oriental rat fleas (Xenopsylla cheopis) were the primary vector.

Since it's a fact that life changes over time, evolution is a fact.
Graham wrote:

Normal humans are normally apes. Standard. If you are not an ape then perhaps you are a learned parrot? As those are the only other non-ape species known to have the ability to communicate in human language that I recall.

Perhaps dolphins too but they got an issue with fins, unless they somehow managed to get around it.
Graham wrote:

You don't have to eat bananas either, but it has no bearing on your biological make-up.

How is it that I know more about UK history than you do?

Oh right, it's because you don't have an education.
