You miss my point.
I don't dispute they evolved from Dinos.
But they ain't Dinos today.
They is dicky birds.
as far removed from Dinos as we are from apes.
So microraptor is more closely related to Ankylosaurus than it is to a crow.

I'm afraid I'm with the trolls on this one

That's fine, but I'm merely pointing out that calling a bird a dinosaur is like calling man an ape!

Trolls? What trolls?

No, Microraptor was more closely related to crows than to ankylosaurs. Ankylosaurs weren't theropods, while both Microraptor and a crow are theropods.

Now you're missing the point, Edaph was being metaphorical.

A bird is a dinosaur, man isn't a ape

Birds are not Dinosaurs, the same as man is not ape.
Birds descended from Dinosaurs, just as we descended from primates.

Okay, first birds are dinosaurs, and second, please don't get the evolution story involved again

Yes, technically, they are.

Although birds are as far removed from prehistoric creatures as Coprolite's arse.

I agree. Check yer PM's BTW.

I've left the forum for a month, and I've made not a single post on any of the off-topic threads ever since.

And Edaph, we don't mind you agreeing with us, as long as you say "I agree with AW and BR" instead of "I agree with the trolls".

Carchar me old friend, this is a forum for discussion not dictatorship.
If we wish to discuss evolution we will.
You believe what you like, if you do not wish to take part in said debates.... DON'T.
If you do, be civil, and provide proof, or links... Be nice.

Well, that wasn't very nice of you. I'll wait til you actually troll on the forum before I make any judgments, though.

Fine then, I agree with PAZB and AW

In fact, if they get rid of Rexby, I'll happily be friendly

What, do *I* have to be the one to get rid of the resident troll around here? Can't your "troll fighting tag team)(Paleo's exact words! How immature) do that?

Ignore Rexby's ridiculous exaggerations. There's no way he's able to stand up to Coprolite(if he attacks him). If he does, then Rexby suffers the same fate as Dimwit100.

actually by the way, humans are primates and birds are dinosaurs. i can give proof. first of all, human/primate, ardipithecus was the point where humans and chimpanzees split, since then there have been 6 known species on the trail to homo sapien (and many branch offs, such as neanderthals). and for birds and dinosaurs, arcaeopteryx- cofuciusornis- ichthyornis- modern day seagulls/ cormorants. which all the way up to ichthyornis pretty closley resemble dinosaurs in their anatomy. microraptor however was a true raptor, a small predatory theropod dinosaur that most likely could only glide from tree to tree. another possibility is that the feathers where display only and used to attract a mate. see you can all be right with no bloodshed. cheers
