While I do agree with Spinosaurus having powerful jaws and strong arms, Spinosaurus or Tyrannosaurus Rex wouldn't win in each others environment. T-Rex would have problems trying to get to Spinosaurus in swamps or lakes, giving Spino and advantage. Spinosaurus would find it hard to run in heavily forested areas where T-Rex lives giving T-Rex and advantage. It doesn't always depend on weaponry. It also depends on where they're fighting.

I'm sorry to say but Jurassic Park /// wasn't completely right. Spinosaurus is a great challenge for a T-Rex but since the sub-adult T-Rex got the first bite out of Spinosaurus, Spino would die later on because of the bacteria that thrive in T-Rex's mouth. And also, size isn't everything in a dinosaur battle.

[Reality]

T.rex grew very quickly, and achieved an average adult size of ~6 tons and 12 meters in about 18-20 years. Tyranno put on about 1500 pounds a year at peak growth rates. Tyrannosaurus, based on the most recent research probably could get up to around 18 mph. Tyrannosaurus was probably a bit smarter than Spinosaurus, and also a bit faster.

Spinosaurus was likely around 17 meters long on average, and roughly 14 tons in weight. Spino probably maxed out at 12-15 mph. Spinosaurus was quite a bit stronger and larger than Tyrannosaurus, and in my opinion would win the majority of fights between the two.

At the hip, Tyrannosaurus was about 3.8 meters tall, and Spinosaurus was about 5 meters. Just to be clear, Spinosaurus was much heavier than 5-8 tons, the absolute minimum would be 9-10 tons.
