Why are the floodlights on in the theaters (picture of this in the article). Nothing like waiting for your movie to start with 6 high powered lights burning your retinas out of your skull.

Those lights are for detailed cleaning in each auditorium but they aren't turned on until after the customers have left and the credits have ended.
