Silver Peak competes directly with Riverbed for WAN optimization, but what’s interesting about Riverbed vs. Silver Peak related to cloud storage is that Silver Peak chooses to partner rather than compete with storage leaders like EMC, HDS, Dell, while Riverbed whitewater competes with those company’s branch office storage offerings. Should get interesting.
