I have many questions.
1. Sodium metal reacts with water to produce Hydrogen gas.
2Na(s)+ 2H2O(aq)---> H2(g)+ 2NaOH(aq)
If 60 grams of Na completely reacts with water and the Hydrogen gas produced is collected at 35 degrees celsius at a pressure of 737 mm Hg. What is the volume of the H2 gas is collected?
2. The following reaction takes place in a basic solution. Balance the following ionic reaction using the method of REDOX half reactions. Show the half reactions and explicitly idenify which of these reactions represents oxidation and which represents reduction. Give the oxidation number of each element of both the reactants and the products.
MnO4 + SO3 2----> MnO2 + SO4 2-
3. The pressure and the volume in each bulb is indicated. The temperature in each of the bulbs are the same. What is the pressure inside the system when all the valves are opened? Assume that the temperature remains constant during the process.
1st bulb CO2 P=2.13atm V=1.5L
2nd bulb H2 P=.861atm V=1.0L
3rd bulb Ar P=1.15atm V=2.0L
4. Consider the following reaction:
2HgO(s)----> 2Hg(l)+ O2(g)
Assume that delta H and delta S do not change much with temperature
a. What works in favor of this reaction being spontaneous, and what works in favor of this reaction being non-spontaneous?
b. Calculate the temperature range in which the reaction will be spontaneous.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Taurus

If you've been neglecting that special someone in your life over the past few days because you've been so busy with the festivities, try to make up for it today. Maybe you could have some time alone with them, or perhaps you simply need to remind them how much you love them. Don't be afraid to open up your heart to them, and to let them do the same to you.
