Virgil's Aeneid is the 1st real attempt to link Rome to Troy, and it was fiction. I AM a student of history. Phoenicians and Hittites did NOT start civilization. Sumerians came 1st around 3500 BC. The Egyptians, Chinese, and the Indian civilizations all started shortly thereafter. All four were analogous development initially. The alphabet we use DOES originate with the Phoenicians, after it was doctored and adjusted by the Greeks and Romans. They both added the vowels. However, there were plenty of other writing styles that pre-date that development. If you are truly an educated person though, you will cut out the throwing insults around at those who disagree with you. It's bad manners. And I pray you are not as racist as you have sounded in a few of these posts. |
