Waist of time and tax money. Even if water were found to present on moon, with the lack there of earth atmosphere what could the toxic substance be possibly used as, poison? The mission had to be with a more significant cause then what NASA suggest.

Water could be used as... water! Very expensive to haul it there, much cheaper and easier to mine it there.

It also would be "air" (oxygen), and fuel (hydrogen, with oxygen as an "oxidizer")... Add some nutrients and seeds, and you'd have what you needed most!

A VERY valuable substance!!!

Even if they put that through microscopic tests and it checks out with the same elements, I still wouldn't touch that. Unless it was to carry it somewhere.

I think yall are pretty crazy to think there won't be something different about it that yall are just NOT familiar with.

This is why there's things like aids and swine flu floating around.....yall think you know everything until you run into something you never thought about before. And then everything goes horribly wrong.

Never fails, but good luck.

If it "checks out" with the same elements, it HAS to be the same...

That rather makes sense to me. Why would God create only this planet readymade for our existence? Maybe because here is where we are supposed to be...

You're right.

Although space is interesting, it is only a matter of time before something catastrophic happens due to man's curiosity.

Bombing the moon seems like a bad choice.

Silly... No one "bombed" the Moon!

Our catastrophic choices are over-populating, over-using resources, building in particularly unsafe areas, wiping out species, etc...

And how if there are lives there who would bomb us back?

The prophesy said that Mars would be the sister planet of Earth. Humans will be transported there in the future and they would want to be independent from Earth.

That could be because there are already occupants on the moon.

Now there is a different take on the scenario. LOL!!

I was talking about upsetting the natural state of the moon, and potentially suffering repercussions from it. Debris, gas, dust etc...

I didn't make that term up, the media did. I just read the story.

I agree that we need to be good stewards of the land, it is just a shame that it is always the same group of people being responsible. It also offends me that this green marketing ploy is a tactic to sell books and terrify the world.

I understand. But my question is also valid. If it is possible for the Earth to hold life, there is a chance that the moon has its own life forms. We haven't explored much of the moon yet. And if we did,I doubt the government would let us know. The point is,if there are beings there, they are not gonna appreciate us bombing them.

Which is why Fox News, in particular, is not worth listening to... I think CNN also used the term, tho... others may have.

Most "news" broadcasters are clueless, pretty faces...

That's my experience and knowledge speaking... It's YOUR ignorance and prejudice, isn't it?

The "bombing the Moon" phrase is a perfect example of what I mean...
