Nice article.

Seems to be an adaptation for cold winter weather rather than the old version Hollywood "tunnels for recovery of spilled gold dust".

Seems the local residents tipped off the archaeologists about the village location rather than it being a serendipitous discovery.

Should be a Caribou game trail (or at least fossil remnants of one) nearby.
