“Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn't we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? [...] What does God care what we call him?”

I'm not a Tanach scholar. Ask Frijoles or Eric.
What is there in the link given supports SLAVERY. I don't see it so spell it out.

I recall someone recently lauding a Hebrew scholar for trying to come up with a more accurate translation of the Tanakh. What happened to that person?

Dear Eric, please read with understanding. There is no LAUDING in my words below.

HughBe---A not surprising undertaking and he has certainly highlighted the sheer INCOMPETENCE of 100's of sages and scribes of Judaism. Well done.

Is modern Hebrew the same as what was spoken and writeen 3000- 4000 years ago? What are the implications if there are differences?

Isn't that blasphemy for a Christian to take the name of Jesus in vain?
what is the meaning of vain?

When did I tell you that I call myself a Christian?

There are so many freaks that I can't answer you all. However know, take faith in the fact that I know you are a freak. Islam is dead. Allah.....never was. End of story. Become Christian if you are faithful. We killed Islam during the 13 crusades. Join us and lets rule this world!

I am willing to play your games.

Isn't it blasphemy for a believer in Jesus as the Messiah to use his name in vain?

If you think Islam is dead you are living in la la land.

Please remember that you killed my people on the way to the 13 crusades. Why would we join you?

You asked me to "Share the words of Paul that you speak of," and I posted the link to Phileomon. If you can't figure out the SLAVERY angle, then I can't help you, but I will give you a big hint: see vss. 15 and 16!

Are you aware that the word is translated as SERVANT 120 times in the KJV and only 6 times as bond and 1 time as bondman?

Slavery is NOT being promoted.

" For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?"

Believe whatever you like. The FACT of the matter is that for centuries Christians saw no problem at all with slavery and referred to Phileomon as justification.

Do you have a better explanation for it?

They were either DECEIVED fools or CORRUPT men. Nowhere in the NT does it promote the enslavement of people.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is LIBERTY. Even in your passage LIBERTY is there. "thou shouldest receive him for ever;

16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved"

Was Jesus' disciples His SLAVES?

"Henceforth I call you not servants/DOULOS(or the same word that your translation calls SLAVE); for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you"
