Unlike Assad, the UN is more concerned about the loss of human life and helping the refugee and not about pieces of gold.

UN to protect whom??

Here is a re-cap of official Saudi Arabian story-line :

"The vast wealth generated by oil revenues was beginning to have an even greater impact on Saudi society.
It led to rapid modernisation, urbanization, mass public education, and the creation of new media. This and the presence of increasingly large numbers of foreign workers greatly affected traditional Saudi norms and values. Although there was dramatic change in the social and economic life of the country ... "
to end that sentence - the rulers and actual players remained the same.
In other words, here is a "modern" nation, basically old stuff in new bottle.
In how many nations has the same story aka time line been repeated. This nation grew up into a corporate power *minus* the good morals.
How many of these powers have been around when you rewind into *official* history, basically same story re-run and re-hashed poorly in every dirty corner nation.

Let's think, how can this be unless *the same banker/gangkers* did it over and over and over.

Let's think of the public that actually comes and expresses opinions in mass media.
These folks have enough on their hands day to day.
Price rise is like bogey no.1. Job problems is like bogey no.2. Education/medical fees bogeys 3,4 and so on. It's the same story repeated across the board. People everywhere have the same set of concerns and unfortunately same character holes that leaves wider society an open wound instead of some real light.

No way you are going to mass demonstrate and actually beat the elite like the demos in different nations played up in mass media in 2011, and the subsequent regime changes (Egypt importantly). The story or time line did not change with any of this.

You demonstrate and then what ? You look for the nearest ATM. Tell me this is not true!

The real leader out there ( to my mind, Gandhi & Martin Luther) did not care about two things: their money and their own life. Far less they worried over their bank balances and tex returns. That is why they made the real difference to the world.
