Mysterious pits shed light on witches of the West
Evidence of pagan rituals involving swans and other birds in the Cornish countryside in the 17th century has been uncovered by archaeologists. Since 2003, 35 pits at the site in a valley near Truro have been excavated containing swan pelts, dead magpies, unhatched eggs, quartz pebbles, human hair, fingernails and part of an iron cauldron.

What an interesting article! T'm sure there is a thread of unbroken paganism though it may not have always gone by that name. It just seems like folks like to hang on to the old ways in the face of the new. Kind of like the pagan version of the amish. Small isolated groups of people who just wont let go of there ancestry. I'm not saying that there is an absulute and verifiable line between modern paganism and ancient paganism just that there seems to be bits and pieces that have hung on. Think of what incredible odds those witches faced in christian dominated England knowing that death by horrible means could be just around the corner.

I don't know, never heard of the Wicker Man. I just mean families holding on to pieces of there family tradition and passing them down. The things folks call Old Wives Tales. Bits and pieces like hanging a horse shoe for luck, or hanging bread from your rafters to prevent winter colds.

Prayer against Trafficking Witches3
Lord Jesus, would you please have a special assignment of warring angels come and remove all trafficking people from me. In the authority of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh, I cancel all their astral assignments over my life. I take dominion over all assignments of witchcraft over my life and I break them right now by the power of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh. Lord Jesus, please have your warriors strip these witches of their psychic powers, demonic powers, and occult powers. Please strip them of magic charms, veils, psychic vision and powers of divination. Please have all their powers and devices destroyed and cast into the abyss. I ask you to bring them before your throne and bless them with the revelation of who you are and your love and plans of salvation for them. Please show them how they are being deceived by Satan. Please have your warriors send them back into their own bodies and seal them there with your blood, Lord Jesus. I ask you to establish your shield of protection between me and all those who traffic on me; in Jesus’ name, Amen |

Still here, still Wiccan, still a witch, all my powers intact. But, feel free to delude yourself that your bigotted, hateful prayer will be answered the way you want it to be. I seriously doubt that any Deity would appreciate you trying to mess with our free will. |

Easter eggs have a connection to the Goddess and started out being dyed red. They represent fertility, which is what Ostara is all about. The Easter Bunny is also part of this. Rabbits have a 28 day cycle, which connects them to the cycle of the moon--which is the planetary symbol of the Goddess. They also represent fertility--not to age myself, but remember when they used to say "the rabbit died"? Meaning, someone was pregnant. Also, why can't you have a male and female rabbit? Lots and lots and lots of offspring. |

The hare is the sacred animal of Oestara. On a side note, some people see a "man" in the moon. I see a rabbit. Anyone else see the rabbit in the full moon?

I'd just like to add that Witches and Wiccans do NOT believe in Satan as he is a Christian Deity. And therefore cannot be deveived by him (or her). |

Not only am I, too, still alive and well, but I've also found someone who might point me to some books on traditional northern Italian witchcraft. How's *that* for your unanswered prayer? What do you hope to accomplish by trolling the Pagan/Wiccan forums with your nonsense? Do you *really* believe you're going to "save" anyone by converting them to your twisted viewpoint? I'd really like an answer to this question. Not born-again rhetoric or bible quotes, I want *you* to answer my question, if you can. |

Me to!!! And very recently to. I wonder if K&P would say she is making progress so our "evil master" is working harder to keep us? Personally I think the Godess answered K&Ps prayer, "Err... NO!" K&P be careful whaqt you wish for, the Lady is watching you! |

I bet her prayers are working! She said some nonsense about returning to our original religions, and one thing all Wiccans and Pagans can agree on is that finding our path was like 'coming home.' She prayed for us to find our way, and we are! XD |
